I’m Agustin Casiva (Casiva is my last name), I’m a Software Engineer currently living in Mendoza, Argentina.
I have been working on IT for many years, I worked in many fields of the industry, such as hardware support, networking, sysadmin but what I do love most is web development.
My expertise is on Web Development, Linux, Open Source, CMSs, HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, Backend Development, Product Development, Project Management, Team Leading, among others areas related with Software Development in General.
I have started my work life in the 2000 as a PC support technician.
Later that year i started to learn C++ very quickly I knew that i love development.
In 2001 I have started working in Visual Basic 6 where I created a several small utilities for Windows until I created my first commercial software called "Asistente de Kiosco", it was a software for small shops to keep track of sales, purchases, stocks, employee timesheets, business balance among other features.
In 2002 I got the opportunity to build an E-Commerce site for a retail company and I decided to do it in PHP, with MySQL and hosted into a Linux Server. Intimidatingly I felt in love of the LAMP stack. Since then I have been working primary in these platforms, from PHP 3, MySQL 3 and Red Hat 6 to all the new fancy things that are available these days.
In the upcomings years I have been working independently, as contractor, as employee, for the private sector, for the goberment sector, large companies, small startups, you name it.
In 2013 I co-founded 42mate, a Web Development Agency focused on the design, development, maintenance of Web Apps.
I'm still a member of 42mate where I work leading development teams and development projects.
